Julio Fuentes, President and CEO

Mr. Fuentes, of Cuban descent, received his degree in Business Administration from Iona College, located in New Rochelle, New York. After graduating, he began his career as an Investment Associate with Merrill Lynch from 1990-1992. For the next six years, he continued his career on Wall Street as an Investment Banker. Then in 1999, he joined the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce as a Membership Specialist focused on the Hispanic market. During this time, Mr. Fuentes recognized the need for an organization dedicated to the Hispanic business market, and thus, he founded the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2000.

Albert Collazo, Chairman

Mr. Collazo has over 20 years of experience in public relations, communications, and strategic alliance development with vast networks at the national, local and state levels. His diverse experience has taken him to the national scene as one of the leading spokespersons and advocates in the areas of health, education, civil rights, economic and business development. He is an integral part of the Hispanic corporate and policy leadership focusing on community engagement. Mr. Collazo currently manages Ford and Lincoln Motor Company's National Hispanic Communications team in the U.S. He has worked with other global corporations including Pfizer, Coca-Cola, and AstraZeneca.

Al Otero, Executive Board Member

Mr. Otero is an experienced entrepreneur in the development and operations of Chambers of Commerce, sales, marketing, and business development. He has served the South Florida Business Community for over 15 years and currently is the President of Trade Center and Global Trade Chamber, is an appointed Board Member of the Broward County Government Diversity Advisory Council, and is on the City of Pembroke Pines Economic Development Board. Mr. Otero's chamber assist companies explore and penetrate new international markets through Trade Missions, fundraising, and much more. They also assist foreign companies do business in the United States.

Paul Martinez, Executive Board Member

Mr. Martinez currently serves as the President and CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida, a national nonprofit organization. For two years, he was the City of Jacksonville's Director of Intra-Governmental Services, overseeing fleet, procurement, information technology and customer service, among other things. Prior to that, he owned an advertising firm, Martinez Advertising Group, in Jacksonville Beach and served on the Mayor's Hispanic Advisory Board and the Florida Bar Advisory Committee. He is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville and Lifeworks Leadership, a faith-based business leadership program. In 1987, he received a bachelor's degree in marketing from Jacksonville University.

Roly Marante, Executive Board Member

Mr. Marante possesses a deep understanding of Governmental Relations, Hispanic Affairs and communication strategies with special emphasis on the South Florida marketplace, its major employers, and transportation, governmental and economic development agencies. Currently, he serves as President of the Marante Strategy Group and as a Managing Partner at AD Nation, a public advocacy firm. His extensive experience in the area of Hispanic communications is complimented by his service as a former President & Chief Executive Officer of the Hialeah Chamber of Commerce. He was a founding board member of the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he Chairs the Governmental Affairs Committee.

Ivan Garcia-Hidalgo, Executive Board Member

Mr. Garcia-Hidalgo offers a wealth of international and domestic experience in his nearly 20-year career. His diverse business development, government affairs and communications expertise have driven increased revenue and profitability for his employers and clients, including US based multi-nationals, like Sprint, ADC, and AT&T. Mr. Garcia-Hidalgo’s unique business and management style creates positive results. He is currently a commentator on CNN en Español as a Republican strategist and has appeared in the past on Univision and Telemundo to discuss trade, and is a contributor on The Hill. From DC, he runs the Hispanic Conservative and the Hispanic Leadership Council PAC.
